Bullards Bar Reservoir

Bullards Bar Reservoir is located in the Sierra foothills of Yuba County, about 90 miles north of Sacramento, at an elevation of 2000 feet. Home to the second tallest damns in California, Bullards Bar is ringed by a lush pine forest and features pristine inlets and coves throughout the reservoir for houseboats to explore and anchor. With smooth and warm summer water, Bullards Bar is rated as one of the top recreational lakes in the country for water sports. Known for Kokanee salmon and a well stocked lake, anglers find plentiful year round fishing for both warm and cold water species. Boaters will find numerous opportunities for swimming in various locations around the reservoir. Supplies are available at the marina as well as the nearby communities of Camptonville, North San Juan, and Dobbins. Ample camping facilities are available for family and group camping and picnicking. Boat access campgrounds are a unique feature of the reservoir.
